2016 Phase 2 Open House
Boise Parks & Recreation and McMillan Jacobs Associates held an open house on November 2, 2016 to discuss the updated design of Phase II of the Boise Whitewater Park. Also in attendance was Scott Shipley of S2O Design.
The original conceptual design was presented in 2014. The concept plan outlined in-river construction and replacement of the Farmers Union Canal diversion downriver from the pedestrian bridge below the existing Phase 1 Harry Morrison Dam and our surf/kayak waveshapers. Development of the Boise Whitewater Park has been tied closely to planning and permitting for the new Esther Simplot Park and will be tightly integrated.
Below is a drawing of the current conceptual design and features included in Phase 2. To see a larger version in PDZF format click here.
